श्लोक Sanskrit: 02:13
देहिनोऽस्मिन् यथा देहे कौमारं यौवनं जरा।
तथा देहान्तरप्राप्तिर्धीरस्तत्र न मुह्यति॥2.13॥
Transliteration:
dehino 'smin yathā dehe kaumāraṁ yauvanaṁ jarā ।
tathā dehāntara-prāptir dhīras tatra na muhyati ॥2.13॥
🇮🇳 Hindi Translation (अनुवाद):
जैसे इस शरीर में जीवात्मा बचपन, यौवन और बुढ़ापे की अवस्था से गुजरता है, वैसे ही मृत्यु के बाद एक नए शरीर को प्राप्त करता है। बुद्धिमान व्यक्ति इस परिवर्तन से मोह नहीं करता।
English Translation:
Just as the soul passes through childhood, youth, and old age in this body, in the same manner, it attains another body after death. A wise person is not deluded by this.
Explanation in English:
This verse continues Lord Krishna’s explanation about the eternal nature of the soul (Atma). • Just as we transition through stages in life — childhood, youth, and old age — the soul remains the same even though the body changes. • Similarly, at the time of death, the soul simply moves on to another body. • A wise person (dhīraḥ) understands this truth and does not grieve over the natural process of change and rebirth. The body is temporary and perishable. The soul is permanent, unchanging, and immortal.
Hindi Translation:
इस श्लोक में श्रीकृष्ण अर्जुन को आत्मा की स्थायित्वता और शरीर की परिवर्तनशीलता का ज्ञान दे रहे हैं। • जैसे हम एक ही जीवन में बचपन से यौवन और फिर वृद्धावस्था में पहुँचते हैं — शरीर बदलता है पर आत्मा वही रहती है। • वैसे ही मृत्यु के बाद आत्मा एक नए शरीर को धारण करती है। • जो इस सच्चाई को जानता है — वह इस परिवर्तन से मोह या शोक नहीं करता। शरीर बदलते रहते हैं, आत्मा नहीं। इसलिए समझदार व्यक्ति मृत्यु से भयभीत नहीं होता।
भावार्थ (Essence):
• यह श्लोक आत्मा के संसार में आवागमन (rebirth) और उसकी अमरता (immortality) की पुष्टि करता है। • मृत्यु अंत नहीं है, बल्कि एक शरीर से दूसरे शरीर में जाने का माध्यम है। • ज्ञानवान व्यक्ति इस शाश्वत सत्य को समझ कर शांत और निर्भय रहता है।
