Bhagavad Gita: Chapter 3, Shloka 41 states:

तस्मात्त्वमिन्द्रियाण्यादौ नियम्य भरतर्षभ |
पाप्मानं प्रजहि ह्येनं ज्ञानविज्ञाननाशनम् ||41

Transliteration:
tasmāt tvam indriyāṇyādau niyamya bharatarṣabha
pāpmānaṁ prajahi hyenaṁ jñāna-vijñāna-nāśanam

Translation:
Therefore, O best of the Bharatas (Arjuna), control your senses right from the beginning and destroy this sinful thing (desire) that destroys both knowledge and realization.

Explanation:
In this verse, Lord Krishna advises Arjuna to control his senses from the very beginning to overcome desire, which is sinful and destroys both knowledge and wisdom. By mastering the senses, one can conquer desire and attain a higher state of understanding and self-realization.

स्पष्टीकरण:
इस श्लोक में, भगवान कृष्ण अर्जुन को इच्छा पर काबू पाने के लिए शुरू से ही अपनी इंद्रियों पर नियंत्रण रखने की सलाह देते हैं, जो पापपूर्ण है और ज्ञान और बुद्धिमत्ता दोनों को नष्ट कर देती है। इंद्रियों पर काबू पाकर व्यक्ति इच्छा पर विजय पा सकता है और समझ तथा आत्म-साक्षात्कार की उच्च अवस्था प्राप्त कर सकता है।
