Bhagavad Gita: Chapter 3, Shloka 37

श्लोक 37:

श्रीभगवानुवाच:

काम एष क्रोध एष रजोगुणसमुद्भवः।
महाशनो महापाप्मा विद्ध्येनमिह वैरिणम्॥37

Transliteration:
śhrī-bhagavān uvācha:
kāma eṣha krodha eṣha rajo-guṇa-samudbhavaḥ
mahāśhano mahā-pāpmā viddhyenam iha vairiṇam||37||

Translation:
The Blessed Lord said: It is lust (kāma) which becomes anger (krodha), arising from the mode of passion (rajo-guṇa). It is insatiable and sinful. Know this as the enemy in this world.

In this shloka, Krishna explains to Arjuna that it is lust, which transforms into anger, that compels individuals to sin. This arises from the mode of passion and is both insatiable and sinful. Krishna advises recognizing this as the true enemy.

इस श्लोक में, कृष्ण अर्जुन को समझाते हैं कि यह वासना है, जो क्रोध में बदल जाती है, जो व्यक्तियों को पाप करने के लिए मजबूर करती है। यह रजोगुण से उत्पन्न होता है और अतृप्त तथा पापमय दोनों है। कृष्ण इसे ही सच्चे शत्रु के रूप में पहचानने की सलाह देते हैं।
