Sanskrit Shlok 1.35
एतान्न हन्तुमिच्छामि घ्नतोऽपि मधुसूदन।
अपि त्रैलोक्यराज्यस्य हेतोः किं नु महीकृते॥1.35॥

Transliteration:
Etān na hantum icchhāmi ghnato ’pi Madhusūdana।
Api trailokya-rājyasya hetoḥ kiṁ nu mahī-kṛite॥1.35॥


Translanation:
"I do not wish to kill them, even though they may kill me, O Madhusudana (Krishna). Not even for the sovereignty of the three worlds, let alone for the earth alone."

Hindi Translation:
अर्जुन ने कहा, "हे मधुसूदन (कृष्ण) मैं उन्हें मारना नहीं चाहता, भले ही वे मुझे मार डालें। तीनों लोकों की संप्रभुता के लिए भी नहीं, अकेले पृथ्वी के लिए भी नहीं।"

Explanation:
In this verse, Arjuna continues to voice his deep anguish and moral dilemma. Addressing Krishna as "Madhusudana" (the slayer of the demon Madhu), he expresses his unwillingness to kill his relatives and loved ones, even if they are ready to take his life. Arjuna emphasizes that he would not fight and kill for any material gains, not even for dominion over the three worlds (heaven, earth, and the netherworlds), let alone for the mere earthly kingdom.

This shloka reflects Arjuna’s growing despair, compassion, and reluctance to engage in violence, setting the stage for the spiritual teachings that Krishna delivers later in the Gita.
