Sanskrit Shlok 1.34
आचार्याः पितरः पुत्रास्तथैव च पितामहाः।
मातुलाः श्वशुराः पौत्राः श्यालाः सम्बन्धिनस्तथा॥1.34॥
Transliteration:
Āchāryāḥ pitaraḥ putrās tathaiva cha pitāmahāḥ।
Mātulāḥ śhvaśhurāḥ pautrāḥ śhyālāḥ sambandhinas tathā॥1.34॥
Translation:
"Teachers, fathers, sons, as well as grandfathers, uncles, fathers-in-law, grandsons, brothers-in-law, and other relatives."
Hindi Translation:
"शिक्षक, पिता, पुत्र, साथ ही दादा, चाचा, ससुर, पोते, बहनोई और अन्य रिश्तेदार।"
Explanation:
Arjuna, overwhelmed by sorrow and moral confusion, continues listing the family members and loved ones assembled on both sides of the battlefield. In this verse, he identifies the various relationships among the warriors, emphasizing the familial and social ties that are about to be severed in the impending war.
