Bhagavad Gita Chapter 1 Shloka 26

Sanskrit Shlok 1.26:
तत्रापश्यत्स्थितान्पार्थः पितॄनथ पितामहान् |
आचार्यान्मातुलान्भ्रातॄन्पुत्रान्पौत्रान्सखींस्तथा ||1.26 ||
श्वशुरान्सुहृदश्चैव सेनयोरुभयोरपि ||1.27|| start

Transliteration:
Tatrāpaśhyat sthitān pārthaḥ pitṛīn atha pitāmahān|
Āchāryān mātulān bhrātṛīn putrān pautrān sakhīṁs tathā ||1.26||
Śhvaśhurān suhṛidaśh chaiva senayor ubhayor api.||1.27|| start

Translation:
There, Arjuna could see, standing in both armies, fathers, grandfathers, teachers, maternal uncles, brothers, sons, grandsons, friends, as well as fathers-in-law and well-wishers.

Hindi Translation:
वहाँ अर्जुन दोनों सेनाओं में खड़े पिता, दादा, गुरु, मामा, भाई, पुत्र, पौत्र, मित्र तथा ससुर और शुभचिंतकों को देख सका।

Explanation:
In this verse, Arjuna, looking at both sides of the battlefield, sees familiar and beloved relatives, mentors, and friends among the warriors. The sight of these close family members and friends on the battlefield overwhelms Arjuna with sorrow and compassion, sparking the inner conflict that leads to his hesitation and the profound discourse that follows in the Bhagavad Gita.

इस श्लोक में, अर्जुन, युद्ध के मैदान के दोनों किनारों को देखते हुए, योद्धाओं के बीच परिचित और प्रिय रिश्तेदारों, गुरुओं और दोस्तों को देखते हैं। युद्ध के मैदान में इन करीबी परिवार के सदस्यों और दोस्तों की दृष्टि अर्जुन को दुःख और करुणा से भर देती है, जिससे आंतरिक संघर्ष छिड़ जाता है जो उनकी झिझक और भगवद गीता में आने वाले गहन प्रवचन की ओर ले जाता है।
