Bhagavad Gita Chapter 3, Shloka 4
Translation: "A person does not attain freedom from action by merely abstaining from work; nor does he attain perfection by merely renouncing work."
Explanation: In this shloka, Lord Krishna emphasizes that simply avoiding action (work) does not lead to freedom from the bondage of action (naiṣkarmya). Similarly, perfection and liberation cannot be achieved merely by renouncing all activities. Instead, it is through the proper performance of one's prescribed duties with the right attitude that one can achieve true liberation and perfection. Bhagavad Gita Chapter 3, Shloka 5
