Bhagavad Gita Chapter 2 Shloka 10

Transliteration:
Taṁ tathā kṛipayāviṣṭam aśhru-pūrṇākulekṣhaṇam
Viṣhīdantam idaṁ vākyam uvācha Madhusūdanaḥ॥

Translation:
"To him who was overwhelmed with pity, whose eyes were filled with tears and disturbed, and who was sorrowful — Madhusudana (Krishna) spoke the following words."

Hindi Translation:

Explanation:
This verse marks a turning point in the Bhagavad Gita. Arjuna is emotionally devastated—consumed by grief, compassion, and confusion about his duty as a warrior. Seeing him in this deeply vulnerable state, Krishna, referred to here as Madhusudana (the slayer of the demon Madhu), begins to speak.

This shloka sets the stage for Krishna’s spiritual discourse that follows, starting from verse 11. It’s at this point that Krishna transitions from being Arjuna’s charioteer to his divine guide and spiritual teacher.

Hindi Explanation:
